Current Problem Statement

In order for the US to return to a thriving nation powered by discovery, Americans must restore their faith in NASA, discard old misconceptions and become educated on the true benefits and cost of the space program.

The current state of the US space program is nearly at a standstill. NASA receives just 0.5% of the total federal budget. The current generation of high school and college students have grown up without space education at the forefront.

A campaign that can inform and inspire curiosity and discovery will drive students to become passionate about the universe, the space program and the benefits of space exploration. This curiosity will fuel education, science, and funding.

My current problem statement is trying to address different problems. My next step is trying to narrow down the real issue I want to address.

Getting more funding for NASA?
Just getting students interested in space?
Creating job opportunities for the next generation?
Reminding adults about the benefits of the space program?
Addressing the misconception of "Why are we spending billions of dollars up there in space when we have pressing problems down here on Earth?"
